Looking Back (msnbc.com turns 10)

Okay, when it launched I actually wrote MSNBC.com and asked if I could have that splendid ActiveX menu control. I was one of those people that randomly asked for source code.

I like to think I've come a long way too, but I find myself digging deeper into languages and systems and finding things I had no idea existed. Cal's book is definitely on my list.

"I may not be stoked every day - working a 9-to-5 job and weathering a layoff or two tends to grind that right out of you, but I'm happy, and proud of what I've done, and look forward to the next 12 years."

This is me raising my Friday beer to you.

You mentioned that awful PUSH meme. Remember PointCast? They had the screensaver you were supposed to install that streamed all kinds of information to you in a graphical manner. Yes, within an application that kicked in WHEN YOU WERE AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTER.
